FACTORS TO CONSIDER IN CHOOSING YOUR TRACK

As the saying goes, “Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress, while working for something we loved is called passion.” This saying can be our inspiration upon choosing the right strand for us. It will serve as a simple reminder that we need to follow our heart. We need to do the thing that can truly make us happy. Like me, I choose ABM because it is my passion. When I was young, it comes out in my mind that someday I want to have my own business. That moment, I want to pursue Business Management. When I become bigger and older, I realized that to be able to built up a business, I don’t need to study about it. I just need to have a courage and perseverance to attain my goal. It emerged in my mind that experience will be the best teacher for me. Yes, studying will truly help me but I believe experience will help me more. Suddenly, I decided that I want to take Accountancy. I want to be a successful Certified Public Accountant someday. When I was surfing net, I accidentally open a website. There was an article there saying “ As a kid, I wanted to be an astronaut. And my own passion as that I wanted to be a film director. I realized that being an astronaut was not going to be an option, so I said, “Well, I’m going to be a director and do films in space.” It enlightens not to take being a business woman as an option. It comes out in my mind that after I become a CPA and get a stable job, I can start my own business. Luckily, K to 12 Program introduced different tracks with different strands. I feel glad to know that my dream when I was young and today was united as one, which is Accountancy and Business Management or commonly known as ABM. Thankfully, my parents give me their support. They didn’t stop me to be what I wanted to be. Without hesitation, I follow my heart. Finally, I pursue ABM strand. One thing I can assure you. Yes, I might feel difficulty upon choosing this strand. But those are just struggles that won’t stop me to achieve my goals. I love what I’m doing, I have nothing to afraid or regret of. So, I am encouraging you to follow your heart!

The importance of money to every individual is like the importance of water in our body. Water is one of the vital needs for human being, like money; you can’t survive for long period of time without money. Nowadays, we can consider ourselves lucky if we eat three times a day because there are some people who have nothing at all. Many parents do their best just to sustain the needs and wants of their children. They almost sacrifice their own happiness just to earn money. They almost endure pain and suffering just to sustain our daily need especially our education. In return to their sacrifice, we should study well. We should spend our time studying than playing or doing unnecessary things. Most of the families here in Philippines are suffering from poverty. Many grade 10 students are afraid on what will happen to them after graduating the junior high school. They are aware that their parents can afford them to school. So, upon choosing your strand, you should also consider your parent’s affordability. You should consider the expenses you will cost if you pursue your dream including tuition, salary, for projects and other expenses. But don’t lose hope! You know what? There are many organizations and programs that can help you. You can be a scholar just make sure that you can maintain your grades. You can be a working student just insure that your grade would be affected. There is always a solution if you want to achieve something. Don’t wait for the blessing to come, you should work for it!!!

These days it is better to be safe than sorry, especially when evaluating different college campuses. Assurance is importance. You should be careful on what school would you prefer. The school should have an accreditation. It is a rigorous process that higher education institutions must go through in order to certify that their curriculum is up to par with regional and national standards. Never assume that a college is accredited, because not all are – even though they may represent themselves to be extremely reputable. You will also want to find out if a college is regionally or nationally accredited. While both accreditation are valid and valuable, you will most likely want to make sure that the college or university you attend is regionally accredited. You can find out if a college is accredited by looking on a college’s recruiting website, by reviewing their academic catalogs, by speaking with an admissions officer, or by contacting your regional accreditation agencies directly. In additional, make sure that your chosen school can ensure your safety and security. Every college is required by law to publish a crime statistics report each year. This report includes burglaries, thefts, robberies, rapes, liquor violations, and murders, weapons possessions on campus and drug abuse violations. Before attending any college you should review their crime statistics and find out what safeguards they’ve put in place to ensure the safety of their students
